All of the available features this historic home boasts were integrated into a seamless first floor and rear yard renovation to support the owners daily patterns and desire for a more focused exterior connection. Coffee, cooking, dog walking and woodworking are enjoyed by the owners while spending weekends at their Catskill Mountain cabin and are inspirational for the finishes and detailing instilled in the project.
Now connected with direct sightlines, a new powder room is a linkage between the front and rear sections of the home. Formal dining is celebrated at a banquet you won’t want to get up from and the kitchen is organized around a large central bay window where nothing is out of arm’s reach.
The hush of the woods, crackling of the fire and sound of trees blowing in the wind as a storm approaches are not missed. Rather these new spaces embody those feels with an urban spin and are reminders that carefully crafted and curated transformations are good reason for celebration.
